Crunch at the pump $
You know the feeling—you’re driving along, minding your own business, when you see a gas station in the distance. Your stomach drops as you remember how much money you have to spend just to fill up your tank. Then comes the crunch: You realize that you don’t have enough cash on hand to cover it. What are you going to do?
If you’re like me, you’re tired of hearing about high gas prices. Since we can’t transport ourselves back in time to 10 cents a gallon, we have to get creative, like stay-cationing close to home. The fact is, they aren’t going anywhere soon. In order to save money at the pump, we need to find ways to stretch our fuel dollars. Here are some tips to help you get started.
First, make sure your tires are properly inflated, and your maintenance is up to date. You can also try carpooling or using public transportation. And lastly, make sure you’re shopping around for the best gas prices. With a little bit of effort, you can easily save 10 or 20 cents per gallon!
For a more permanent solution, consider trading in your vehicle for a hybrid or electric. Trade in values have never been higher so the timing is great.
