The NEW RAM diesel

Ram truck introduced the 2014 1500 EcoDiesel at the North American International Auto Show. The half-ton pickup, which is available in both two- and four-wheel drive, is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel engine that produces 240 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The truck has a towing capacity of 9,200 pounds and a payload capacity of 1,590 pounds. The EcoDiesel is the most fuel-efficient pickup truck on the market, with an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The truck will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2014.
